A tree with blue leaves! Beautiful, isn't it? We were in Chicago a week ago and attended church at Fourth Presbyterian Church, which is on Michigan Avenue across the street from the Hancock building. A lovely spot to be in regardless of what flutters from the tree branches. Nevertheless, someone quite creative and industrious had tied (?) little blue strips of fabric all up and down the branches and trunk of this tree. The effect was quite stunning against the old stone of the church, the black metal of the Hancock building, and the white marble of Water Tower Place. There hasn't been much beauty on the front page of the newspapers or the television screen lately so I thought I'd share this (the picture doesn't do it justice, of course).
