This morning I met with two women to brainstorm marketing ideas for our books. One of the women is a very seasoned author and public speaker--hence, she was the source of most of the wisdom shared this morning. The other woman just came out with her first book, like me. And also, like me, has a lot to learn. It was a great couple hours to share ideas and to build better ideas based on the experiences and responses of each other. Our time together ended, however, and back to my basement office I went. Back to my real job. It's hard to shift gears so completely--to put aside thoughts of passion and excitement and return to thoughts of routine and responsibility. It helps to know that I've got ideas written in my little notebook and that these women are an e-mail away.
